Year 5 Science
Year 5 have had a busy end to the term and have enjoyed bringing and talking about their science investigations they were asked to do on changing states. This year we had many who chose to show us what they had learnt by demonstrating these in a practical way. We had bath bombs made and saw how these reacted in the water and why that reaction was caused, turning the solid into liquid. This was similar to an investigation where a balloon became filled with gas due to a chemical reaction between vinegar and bicarbonate of soda being mixed together. Others chose to make board games to emphasise the changes that heating and cooling make, whilst others used some great power point presentations and posters to reinforce what they had found out about why these changes of state take place. We were all very pleased with the time and effort the children had put into this topic. Well done.
