Our charity challenge for this term is to swim the channel for Operation Orphan. This is a mere 1,408 lengths of the pool and we would like the whole of our community to be involved in this.
There is a parents’ swim from 1900 – 2000 on Wednesday 4th March and on Friday 20th March, I have much pleasure in inviting you and your children to attend a family swim before breakfast, starting @ 0700. We have chosen this date because there is a family breakfast @ 0745, so we are looking at a 30 minute swim, followed by breakfast.
Further details can be found on my most recent blog and I do need to know if anyone is interested in the evening swim on 4th March please.
The children will be counting lengths in swimming lessons and will also have some lunchtime sessions as well. A sponsorship form is attached and we would ask your children to try to raise as much money as possible – probably not per length individually, but rather as a total amount!
I am very grateful to Evie Norris, who came up with the idea and who has put the sponsorship form together.
As ever, do please see me if you have any questions.
