Dear Parents,

As a school community we will be joining in with Red Nose Day on Friday 19 March.

This year the noses have been made from a product called ‘bagasse’ which comes from sugar cane so are plastic free and therefore much more environmentally friendly.  To recognise this, we have decided to link our day to this environmental aspect and invite the children to donate to either:

  1. a)  Wear green
  2. b)  Wear clothes that have been upcycled or handed down from a sibling or friend
  3. c)  Wear an outfit made from recycled material

As you have already been informed,  red noses will be on sale in school from tomorrow for £1.50. Please send in the exact money in a named envelope should your child wish to purchase one. If children are going to wear red noses on Red Nose Day, please ensure names are written on both the nose and the box.  Please remind your child that the red nose is for personal use only and must not be swapped/shared with friends.

In addition, we would like the children to prepare a joke ready to share with their class and make others smile.

Kind regards,

Tracey Davies
Deputy Head
