The U10 Boys played a very competitive Rugby match over at Twycross and considering that many hadn’t played any Rugby for nearly two months, we performed very well. Our tackling was a little suspect at times and missed tackles cost us the game as we unfortunately ran out on the losing side by 10 tries to 8. It was very much roles reversed when the U9 Boys played Rugby the following day against the same opponents. From the off we passed the ball extremely quickly and supported closely to ensure we moved forward as much as possible. Tries ended up being scored by both lots, with our boys coming out 8-3 winners on this occasion. Our Y3 boys played Twycross B and performed very well. Trying to keep their shape was the biggest challenge but to produce a 3-3 draw shows that we have some potential to work with and that they’ve retained much of what they learnt last term. Well done.
This week our U9 Boys played football against NULS and this turned out to be a fantastic match, with plenty of possession being had by both teams. There was very little in it as far as abilities went and unsurprisingly the game was decided by the single goal that we scored after 15 minutes. They hit the post and both keepers made some excellent saves in another encouraging performance by everyone involved.
