The Year 3 and Year 4 girls were excited as Miss Bennett had organised for Lisa Prince (nee Bayliss) to come in to train with them.  Lisa has represented Great Britain many times in hockey and is an Olympic Medal winner!

Friday was a bitterly cold afternoon and whilst the excitement of Lisa arriving was plenty to keep them warm, Lisa took a group to do some hockey drills and running with the ball to ensure they didn’t get too cold. Miss Bennett took another group for some shooting practice whilst they waited for their training with Lisa.  After half an hour the groups swapped around so that all the girls could have some quality training time with Lisa.  After an hour of training (it was far too cold to do any more!) the children came back into class to ask Lisa some questions about hockey and her time representing Great Britain and to ask her to sign hockey sticks and photos!

Thank you to Lisa for sparing your time to come and visit and take part in our training session, it was a great afternoon.
