Things are going to get a little pongy in the Form 3 classroom over the next week or so! The children have been thinking about teeth and what causes tooth decay. They began by looking at the teeth in their mouth to identify incisors, canines, pre-molars and molars (which they really enjoyed as it involved a biscuit)! They then helped to design an experiment testing the affect of different liquids on ‘teeth’ (although we used hard-boiled eggs as these have a very similar reaction). In one week we will have a look to see what has happened to the eggs – everyone will have to hold their noses; it’s not going to be pleasant!
