It was like a scene from ‘Casualty’ in Mrs Davies’ First Aid club on Wednesday afternoon as the enthusiastic first aiders and casualties practised their arm slings and elevation slings.

They also revisited the head bandage, not because they needed the practice, but just because it was so much fun!

I’m still unclear as to whether the pupils prefer being the first aider or being the casualty. They are a willing bunch and it’s a real pleasure to see them grow in confidence in their first aid abilities and have a giggle at the same time.
