Smallwood dominated this game throughout. It was not many seconds after the whistle that Rebecca  (with her new look, lucky hockey hairdo)  had put her name on the score sheet for the first time and despite playing sweeper for part of the game still managed to score a further five goals before the end of play. Poppy M. displayed great finesse at centre half making expert runs and turns before passing wide while Olivia A. also impressed at centre forward with nippy footwork and intelligent play, always looking to pass the ball for her team mates. Isabella S. volunteered to move in at sweeper but found herself with very little to do while Holly and Emilia tackled well in defence. Substitute Iona came on at left wing and soon found herself in the thick of the action. However, it was the pair of wingers, captain Camilla and vice-captain Alicia who pounced on their chances and turned them into goals – two for Alicia and one Camilla.

A good victory maintaining the U10s unbeaten season. Well done.
