This match was very encouraging from the point of view that throughout the game, Smallwood played some very good football in parts. The game started positively and we created a few chances in the early stages, only to be caught by the counter attack. This seemed to knock a little of the confidence out of the boys and for the next twenty minutes we struggled to keep composure and this affected the shape of the team. Within this twenty minutes we conceded two more goals. Being 3-0 down, we still had opportunities to grab a goal back, with play being very open. A fourth goal was scored with five minutes left to play. The result was perhaps a little harsh on the boys, who were very upbeat about their performance afterwards.
