Mystery Readers

Pre- Prep 1 have really enjoyed hearing stories from our Mystery Readers.  A big Thank You to Rosie's Dad who came dressed in his Police uniform and read a story about 'Stranger Danger' and to Imogen's Mum who read the 'Gruffalo' story with lots of exciting and funny voices.   [/fusion_builder_column][/fusion_builder_row][/fusion_builder_container]

People Who Help Us!

Pre-Prep 2 have had a very exciting week with a visit from PC Carroll. The children learnt about the history of the Police, took DNA samples, studied their fingerprints, made some arrests and solved a crime! [/fusion_builder_column][/fusion_builder_row][/fusion_builder_container]

Getting Ready for Harvest

All of Pre-Prep and Nursery are starting to think about Harvest.  Last week PP1 enjoyed reading the story 'Handa's Surprise' followed by lots of fun and funny faces tasting a range of different fruits!  The children then worked as a team to write a class poem using adjectives to describe the fruits.  Well done PP1 [...]

They jumped in sacks, dribbled footballs, skipped with hoops and balanced eggs on spoons with great gusto! Toddlers and parents participated in their own races very [...]

Saint George’s Day

I think that there must have been more red roses in DCPS than in any other school in England on Saint George's day! There were roses on rugby shirts, skirts, blouses and leggings! Children wore roses in buttonholes and in their hair. There were real roses, silk roses and even home-made roses! Everyone was very [...]

Thank You, Easter Bunny!

Of course, our Pre-Prep Easter celebrations would not be complete without an Easter egg hunt! We were very grateful that the Easter bunny had not forgotten us. He very kindly left little bags of eggs hidden in the Cedars - enough for everyone!. What a lovely way to end the term - running around in [...]

World Book Day in the Pre-Prep

On Thursday, the children really enjoyed coming to school dressed as a character from a book!  Well done to all parents for being so imaginative and inventive! The children loved being in costume for the day and sharing their books with their buddy class in Main Prep. Great costumes and books, Pre-Prep!
