People Who Help Us!

Pre-Prep 2 have had a very exciting week with a visit from PC Carroll. The children learnt about the history of the Police, took DNA samples, studied their fingerprints, made some arrests and solved a crime!

Getting Ready for Harvest

All of Pre-Prep and Nursery are starting to think about Harvest.  Last week PP1 enjoyed reading the story ‘Handa’s Surprise’ followed by lots of fun and funny faces tasting a range of different fruits!  The children then worked as a team to write a class poem using adjectives to describe the fruits.  Well done PP1

A Busy School!

Year 4’s assembly last week was a joy to behold. The link that we have with our environment has never been more important and they reminded us very forcefully of our responsibilities towards nature and trees in particular. It was a very entertaining presentation, getting a serious message across , often in a light-hearted way […]

Reading is Fun in PP2!

The children have settled extremely well into their new PP2 routines. Friday afternoon we shared library books and discovered lots of interesting facts about People Who Help Us, our Michaelmas term topic.

Year 3 and 4 Buddies Make Clay Creatures

Year 3 & 4 met in the Cedars for a buddy session. We started with a game of their choice: 40:40. I was impressed to see how the children developed the rule ‘you must be touching the tree or someone touching the tree’ to enable a huge long line that stretched into the woods!

Later we […]

Treeeeemendous Trees

What a fabulous assembly Year 4, treemendous!

I really don’t know how you managed to learn all you did in just 2 weeks.

Well done, I am very proud of you all.

The Lorax really entertained us all (but did it sent Alfie to sleep?).
