Making Musical Scales

How much fun can you have with a bottle and some water? Tonnes! It made a lovely end of year music lesson too. The task was to make an eight note musical scale using bottles and water; our flautists definitely had an advantage!

When I walked into Reception classroom last Friday, I had a very big surprise! There were lots of enormous spiders. Fortunately, the children were not frightened as the spiders were actually cakes! Our very special secretary, Mrs Shanley, had a very special birthday today.

The whole school sneaked silently up to her window and sung her ‘Happy Birthday’. It is the quietest they have ever been walking past her office, a real treat for Mrs Shanley!
