Making Musical Scales

How much fun can you have with a bottle and some water? Tonnes! It made a lovely end of year music lesson too. The task was to make an eight note musical scale using bottles and water; our flautists definitely had an advantage!

Scary Spiders!

When I walked into Reception classroom last Friday, I had a very big surprise! There were lots of enormous spiders. Fortunately, the children were not frightened as the spiders were actually cakes! Everyone had been very busy making webs and edible spiders. I am not sure how many spiders survived the journey home…..

Sweet Surprise for Mrs Shanley

Our very special secretary, Mrs Shanley, had a very special birthday today.

The whole school sneaked silently up to her window and sung her ‘Happy Birthday’. It is the quietest they have ever been walking past her office, a real treat for Mrs Shanley!
